Verbier, Switzerland — 2025
A study in absence, light, and partial revelation.
Window of Clouds was photographed in Verbier during a brief atmospheric shift, when the mountain appeared momentarily through a dense field of fog. The image sits somewhere between landscape and abstraction, less concerned with documenting place than with tracing the instability of perception itself.
The composition compresses distance and dissolves contour, allowing light, snow, and vapor to operate almost as painterly material. What remains visible is fragmentary: a ridge, a tree line, the weight of terrain emerging and disappearing within the same frame.
